Biographie
William Martin Joel, plus connu sous le nom de Billy Joel, est né le 9 mai 1949 dans le quartier du Bronx à New York, est un pianiste, chanteur et compositeur. Il démarre dans la pop music en 1973 avec le disque Piano Man. Musicien de talent, il a gagné pas moins de six Grammy Award durant sa carrière, mise entre parenthèses depuis 1993.
Selon la RIAA, ses albums sont certifiés à hauteur de 79,5 millions d'unités aux États-Unis. Il continue à parcourir le monde pour se produire en public (en particulier avec Elton John) et il écrit encore de la musique classique.
